Guang Yang is a corporate counsel based in the Hong Kong office and is a member of the firm’s Investment Funds and Investment Management Group.

His practice focuses on advising sponsors of private equity funds, co-investment vehicles and separately managed accounts, covering numerous sectors and strategies including buyout, venture capital, real estate and fund of funds, as well as secondary transactions including traditional acquisitions and dispositions of fund interests and fund restructurings. Mr. Yang’s recent experience includes acting for EQT Private Capital Asia, HongShan Capital Group, StepStone Group and Ally Bridge Group. He is recognised for Investment Funds by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific – Greater China (2025).

Mr. Yang joined Debevoise in 2019. Mr. Yang received a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2016, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a notes editor of the Columbia Business Law Review. Mr. Yang received an M.T.S. from Harvard University in 2013 and a B.A. from Peking University in 2011. 

Mr. Yang is a native Mandarin Chinese speaker.
