Guoyu Tao is a registered foreign lawyer (New York) in the Tax Department.

Ms. Tao received a J.D. cum laude from University of Michigan Law School in 2017, where she was contributing editor of the Michigan Journal of Law Reform. She received Richard Katcher Senior Tax Prize of 2016-2017. She received her Bachelor’s degree from China Foreign Affairs University in 2013.

Ms. Tao is the co-author of “What White V. Commissioner Says About Partnerships,” Law 360 (August, 2018).

Ms. Tao is a member of the Bar of New York. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
