Federal Reserve Issues Proposed Rule Addressing The Volcker Rule’s Conformance Period

On November 26, the Federal Reserve published a proposed rule in the Federal Register to implement provisions of the Volcker Rule designed to give banking entities time to conform their activities and investments to the Rule’s restrictions.  This client update reviews the Federal Reserve's proposal, which is relevant to banking entities and potentially to others, including secondary buyers of private fund interests and private fund sponsors.
