In this Spotlight on Post-Brexit Treaty Practice, we do a deep dive into the United Kingdom’s trade and investment treaty practice since the conclusion of the UK–EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement at the end of 2020. We chart how the UK has approached treaties with EU and non-EU Member States following its exit from the European Union, examining the UK’s stated priorities and its negotiations with existing and new trading partners, identifying trends and predicting how the UK may approach this important area in the future.
