Janine Godbehere is an associate in the New York office and a member of the firm’s International Dispute Resolution Group. Her practice focuses on international arbitration, public international law and commercial litigation.

Ms. Godbehere represents private clients and states across multiple jurisdictions in complex international commercial and investment disputes. She is familiar with disputes across a broad range of industries and sectors, with a particular focus on energy and natural resources disputes. She has experience of international commercial and investment arbitrations under the major arbitral rules. She has also advised clients in litigation proceedings before domestic courts.

Ms. Godbehere joined Debevoise as a trainee solicitor in 2017 and completed her training in the London office. She graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences in 2016 where she received an LL.B. with first class honours.  She also completed the LPC at BPP University with distinction.

Ms. Godbehere was admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales in 2019. She is also admitted to the Bar in New York.
