Jose Faina is a registered foreign lawyer (New York) in the Tax Department.
Mr. Faina joined Debevoise in 2022 after graduating from New York University School of Law, where he received a Tax LL.M. and was awarded with the Harry J. Rudick Memorial Award. He received an LL.B. and a BB.A. from University of A Coruna in 2014 and an LL.M from IE Law School in 2016.
From 2018 to 2020 Mr. Faina worked at a leading accounting firm in the Middle East, where he primarily advised sovereign wealth funds on international tax structuring. From 2016 to 2018, he was part of the tax group of a leading U.S. law firm in Spain.
Mr. Faina is a member of the Bar of the State of New York and admitted as a practicing attorney in Spain.
Mr. Faina is fluent in English and Spanish.
