Luke Duggan is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department based in London. Mr. Duggan is recommended by The Legal 500 UK (2024), where clients have noted he is “exceptionally smart, diligent, and creative” and “an associate to watch.”

Mr. Duggan has been engaged in a wide variety of multi-party, high-value commercial disputes. These have involved various sectors and jurisdictions including England and Wales, the Cayman Islands, the Republic of Ireland, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Cyprus, the United States, and Australia. His practice focuses on complex commercial matters surrounding large-scale corporate and shareholder disputes, and negligence and civil fraud claims.

Mr. Duggan joined Debevoise in 2017 after completing a Master of Law at the University of Cambridge specialising in commercial law. Prior to that, he was a Senior Associate in the Sydney office of an international firm and in 2012 was a Judicial Assistant to the Judge administering the Commercial, Commercial Arbitration, and Technology and Construction Lists in the Equity Division of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia. He received a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Technology, Sydney.

Mr. Duggan was admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2012 and as a solicitor and barrister of the High Court of Australia in 2013. He has had case notes published in the Australian Law Journal and was engaged as a sub-editor of the United Kingdom Supreme Court Yearbook 2017.
