Luke Duggan is a counsel in the firm’s Litigation Department based in London. Mr. Duggan is recommended by The Legal 500 UK (2026), where clients praise him as “smart, diligent, creative, and an all-round star.”
Mr. Duggan has been engaged in a wide variety of multi-party, high-value commercial disputes. These have involved various sectors and jurisdictions including England and Wales, the Cayman Islands, the Republic of Ireland, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Cyprus, the United States, and Australia. His practice focuses on large-scale corporate and shareholder disputes, insolvency and clawback matters, and negligence and civil fraud claims.
Mr. Duggan joined Debevoise in 2017 after completing a Master of Law at the University of Cambridge specialising in commercial law. Prior to that, he was a Senior Associate in the Sydney office of an international firm and in 2012 was a Judicial Assistant to the Judge administering the Commercial, Commercial Arbitration, and Technology and Construction Lists in the Equity Division of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia. He received a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Technology, Sydney.
