Melody D. Godbolt is a corporate associate in the Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions Group. She collaborates regularly with the firm’s Data Strategy & Security practice group.

Ms. Godbolt advises clients on intellectual property and technology transactions, intellectual property and technology aspects of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, including investments in startups and emerging companies. She also advises on the protection, licensing, transfer and commercialization of IP, technology and data assets.

Ms. Godbolt joined Debevoise in 2018. Ms. Godbolt received a J.D. from Howard University School of Law in 2018, where she served as senior editor of the Howard Law Journal. Ms. Godbolt received a bachelor’s degree from Howard University in 2011.
