Natascha Born is an associate in the Commercial Litigation Group. She has a diverse practice representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex, high-stakes litigation and arbitration, including breach of contract claims, shareholder class action and derivative litigation, and cross-border disputes. She also has experience advising clients on contractual issues, constitutional law, and corporate governance, among other matters.

Ms. Born joined Debevoise in 2017. From 2014 to 2015 Ms. Born clerked for the Hon. Steven M. Colloton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. In 2016, Ms. Born clerked for the Hon. Douglas H. Ginsburg of the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Ms. Born received a J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2014, where she was an editor of the Harvard International Law Journal. She received a B.A. with honors and distinction from Stanford University in 2010. Ms. Born is the author of The Presumption Against Extraterritoriality: Reconciling Canons of Statutory Interpretation with Textualism, 41 U. PA. J. INT’L L. 541 (2020).
