Debevoise & Plimpton LLP partners Jonathan Adler and Sally Gibson have been among the top 30 private equity lawyers under 40.
The list, compiled by Private Funds Management (“PFM”), is published every two years, and features the best young lawyers for private funds around the world. It marks the second time Mr. Adler and Ms. Gibson have been named to the list, having initially appeared in the 2015 version.
In the feature announcing those to have made the list, PFM praises Mr. Adler for his “judgment and tireless work ethic, and states that Ms. Gibson has established herself as “one of private equity’s most trusted advisors.”
Mr. Adler, based in Debevoise’s New York office, focuses on advising sponsors of private investment funds, including buyout, growth capital, energy, infrastructure and credit funds. In addition to his work with U.S. and European funds, Mr. Adler has also advised clients in establishing private equity funds, offices and joint ventures in various emerging markets, including Africa, India and South America.
Ms. Gibson, based in Debevoise’s London office, practice focuses on advising sponsors of private investment funds, including buyout, real estate, infrastructure, venture capital, energy, mezzanine and secondaries funds. Ms. Gibson has also advised on the restructuring of English investment managers and investment advisers and the acquisition of fund management groups. She has extensive experience working with clients to navigate the regulatory issues affecting the private equity and fund management sectors.
