Nick Kaluk is counsel in the firm’s Restructuring Group. Mr. Kaluk regularly advises debtors, investors and other creditors in Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings. He also represents investment banks and financial advisors retained by major constituencies in Chapter 11 proceedings and has experience with insurance insolvencies, securitizations and structured financings.
Mr. Kaluk joined Debevoise in 2012 after a clerkship with the Hon. Allan L. Gropper in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. He received a J.D. magna cum laude in 2011 from Brooklyn Law School, where he was a member of the Brooklyn Law Review and a fellow in the Dennis J. Block Center for the Study of International Business Law. He received a B.A. from Columbia University in 2005.
Mr. Kaluk serves on the Junior Advisory Board of Her Justice. He is a former coordinator for the Credit Abuse Resistance Education (CARE) program in New York City. He is also a contributor to Collier Business Workout Guide and the Debevoise & Plimpton Private Equity Report.
