Norma Angelica Freeland is a corporate associate and a member of the Investment Management Group. Her practice focuses on advising sponsors of private investment funds, co-investment vehicles and separately managed accounts, covering numerous sectors and strategies, including infrastructure, buyout and venture capital. Ms. Freeland’s recent experience includes acting for clients such as Global Infrastructure Partners, Kelso & Company and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Ms. Freeland also focuses on providing regulatory and compliance advice related to the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940. Since 2020, she also serves as deputy president for Region II of the Hispanic National Bar Association.

Ms. Freeland joined Debevoise in 2016. She received a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2016, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She received a B.A. with departmental honors from Princeton University in 2011. Ms. Freeland previously worked at Goldman Sachs & Co.

Ms. Freeland is fluent in Spanish.
