Robert Fettman is a counsel and member of the firm’s global insurance practice. He focuses on a broad range of legal matters facing insurance companies, including transactional and insurance regulatory matters and matters related to InsurTech.

As an insurance transactional lawyer, Mr. Fettman has worked on many of the industry’s largest life and property/casualty acquisitions. He has experience guiding public and private insurance companies, private equity firms and pension fund clients through complex insurance transactions as well as minority investments in insurance holding company systems.

Mr. Fettman also maintains a deep understanding of the insurance regulatory landscape. He regularly advises clients on matters of regulatory compliance, insurer and agency licensing, insurance product development, insurance company investments and corporate governance. Insurers and venture capital firms seek Mr. Fettman’s guidance on the regulatory implications of new technologies such as blockchain, smart contracts and artificial intelligence.

Mr. Fettman graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 2005. He received his B.S. in Accounting magna cum laude from Touro College in 2000.
