Steven Slutzky is a corporate partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Capital Markets Group and a member of the firm’s Private Equity, Special Situations and Public Company Advisory Groups. His practice focuses on securities offerings and related transactions, and he regularly represents issuers and underwriters in securities transactions including initial public offerings, high-yield debt offerings, secondary equity offerings, debt offerings, tender offers and consent solicitations and private placements.

Mr. Slutzky was named Dealmaker of the Year by The American Lawyer (2014) for his role in advising Verizon on its $49 billion bond offering, the largest-ever corporate bond issue. Mr. Slutzky is currently ranked as a leading capital markets lawyer in Chambers Global (2015–2025), which describes him as “very dedicated and proactive” with “great subject matter expertise,” and in Chambers USA (2015–2025), where clients describe him as a “great capital markets lawyer and zealous advocate” and an “outstanding lawyer, one of the best I have ever worked with.” He is also ranked Highly Regarded by IFLR1000 (2024) and as a Leading Partner in The Legal 500 US (2025).Mr. Slutzky serves as a director of Brooklyn Legal Services, Start Small Think Big and Sanctuary for Families.
