Overview

Debevoise’s U.S. Diverse Supplier Program embodies our commitment to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in our community and stems naturally from core values that shape our firm.

By identifying and leveraging opportunities to purchase goods and services from vendors who are diverse, we seek to ensure the inclusion of businesses owned by people of color, women, the LGBTQ+ community, veterans and people with disabilities.

Goals

Debevoise values diversity and is committed to increasing diversity throughout its community, including its supply chain.

To this end, the goal of the Diverse Supplier Program is to identify and proactively source goods and services from historically underrepresented groups. We believe that supplier diversity has many benefits, including increasing the quality of products and services we procure, stimulating new ideas and perspectives, strengthening and expanding business relationships and creating positive economic impacts on the local communities in which we work.

Eligibility

Our Diverse Supplier Program recognizes businesses that are at least 51% owned, controlled and/or operated by individuals from historically underrepresented groups including:

  • Racial and ethnic minorities, including Black/African American, Latin[o/x]/Hispanic, Asian and Native American
  • Women
  • LGBTQ+
  • Persons with disabilities
  • Veterans

Certification Agencies

Debevoise requires that diverse suppliers meeting the description above be certified by an authorized third party or regulatory agency. Such certifications provide Debevoise with assurances that a business meets the requirements described above.

Examples of certifying agencies include:

  • National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC)
  • National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC)
  • National Veteran-Owned Business Association (NaVOBA)
  • National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC)
  • Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
  • U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC)

Expressions of Interest

If your organization meets the requirements above and is interested in being part of Debevoise’s U.S. Diverse Supplier Program, please email diversesupplierprogram@debevoise.com with the following information:

  • Business name
  • Contact person’s name
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • Contact person’s email address
  • Diverse business type
  • Proof of certification by an authorized third party
  • Geographic area that your business serves
  • A brief overview of your company and the goods or services provided

Submitting your information to Debevoise will allow us to add you to our diverse supplier registry if you are eligible. We will contact your business if we believe a match exists between the goods or services you provide and our business needs. Submitting your company’s information to Debevoise does not guarantee you will receive our business.
