Emily Huang is a corporate partner and a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Her practice focuses on advising private equity firms and corporate clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions across a broad range of industries, including sports, media and telecommunications, technology, consumer and industrials, among others.

Ms. Huang is recommended in the Media and Entertainment: Transactional category by The Legal 500 US (2024). She was also named a Rising Star for Private Equity by Law360 (2023). Additionally, she served as a member of the Law360 M&A Editorial Advisory Board in 2022.

Ms. Huang is a frequent author and speaker on topics related to mergers and acquisitions. She is on the editorial board of Debevoise’s MarketCheck, a periodic M&A report, and is a contributing author of the Debevoise & Plimpton Private Equity Report. She currently serves as a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Sports Law Committee.

Ms. Huang joined Debevoise in 2012. Ms. Huang received a J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 2012, where she was a notes editor of the Michigan Law Review and a member of Order of the Coif. She received an A.B. magna cum laude from Dartmouth College in 2009, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She served on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the University of Michigan Law School from 2014 to 2022.
