Felix Paterson is an English-qualified associate based in the London office and a member of the firm’s Finance Group.

Mr. Paterson, who joined Debevoise as a trainee solicitor in 2012, was named by the Fund Finance Association to its 2023 list of Rising Stars. He is also recommended for Fund Finance by The Legal 500 UK (2024). He graduated from Trinity College Dublin with first class honours in History (M.A. (Dubl)) in 2010 and subsequently completed the GDL and LPC with distinction at the University of Law in 2011 and 2012, respectively.

Mr. Paterson is a co-author of “Debevoise & Plimpton on a new string in fund finance’s bow,” Private Equity International (January, 2021); “Side letters: Pitfalls and Perils for a Financing,” in Global Legal Insights to Fund Finance (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 editions); “What You Need To Know About Sub Lines For SMAs,” Private Debt Investor (August, 2018) and “Mega-Funds and Their Mega-Financings,” Private Equity International (February, 2018).

Mr. Paterson was admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales in 2014.
