View Client Update
On January 29, 2018, the U.S. Treasury Department announced that it had delivered to Congress five reports required by the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, Pub. L. 115-44 (“CAATSA”).
The report that has received the most attention identifies senior political figures, oligarchs and parastatal entities of the Russian Federation.
This report, however, does not impose new sanctions, and some members of Congress continue to push the Trump administration to do more.
