Despite the burst of the ICO bubble, 2018 remained a busy year for blockchain technology development and regulation.
Many nations are struggling to keep pace with the fast growth of blockchain technology and its growing application. While 2018 brought coordination between different regimes in some respects, it also saw different jurisdictions take divergent approaches, even within a single country like the United States.
This update covers certain legislative, regulatory and other developments related to blockchain in the European Union, France, Germany, Russia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
