Debevoise Advises The Carlyle Group on Its Strategic Partnership with AIG to Build DSA Re into a Standalone Reinsurance Provider

Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is advising The Carlyle Group on its strategic partnership with American International Group, Inc. to build DSA Re into a standalone provider of reinsurance, claims handling, and run-off management solutions for long-dated, complex risks to the global insurance industry.

Utilizing Carlyle’s expertise in separating and standing up companies, AIG and Carlyle plan to build DSA Re into a platform that complements DSA Re’s financial strength with its strategically differentiated capabilities.

The Carlyle Group is a global alternative asset manager with $210 billion of assets under management across 335 investment vehicles as of June 30, 2018.
