Megan MacDonald is a corporate associate based in the London office and a member of the Antitrust Group.
Ms. MacDonald’s practice focuses on EU and UK competition law and regulation, including obtaining clearance for complex merger investigations before the European Commission and UK competition authorities, as well as coordinating merger approvals across multiple jurisdictions worldwide. She also has experience advising clients on behavioural matters, including investigations of alleged abuses of dominance and EU state aid matters.
Ms. MacDonald is recommended by The Legal 500 UK (2023), where she receives praise for her “clear, succinct, commercially astute and pragmatic” advice.
Ms. MacDonald's recent publications include “New European Union Foreign Subsides Regulation Targets Inbound M&A Activity,” The M&A Lawyer (March, 2023) and “Excessive pricing: new use for a neglected tool in the enforcement armoury,” Global Competition Review (June, 2017).
Ms. MacDonald joined Debevoise as a trainee solicitor in 2016. She graduated from Bristol University in 2015, where she received an LL.B. with first class honours. She then went on to study at BPP University, London, where she passed with distinction. Ms. MacDonald was admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales in 2018.
